By John David Lewis

"Analyzes the resounding Republican defeat and shows that the party faces a fundamental decision that will determine whether it orchestrates a comeback or stumbles into further defeat."

I don't hold much hope for a Republican comeback given the results of their previous performances.

Here is the first paragraph of that article and the link for the rest of this piece for those interested in reading a rational examination of this situation. This is very interesting and compelling reading for me when I'm not out trying to figure out to get crappie to bite.

"The presidential election of 2008 was more significant than the mere defeat of John McCain; it was a resounding defeat of the Republican party. Conscientious Republicans are now faced with the question: Why? Why did so many Americans either not vote, or vote for third-party candidates who had no chance of winning, or vote for a man who openly vowed to “spread the wealth around”? How Republicans answer this question will determine whether they discover the road to victory for themselves and their country or stumble toward further defeat. "

Excellent article LBM! The capricious behavior and obfuscatory dissimulation of the Republican party far exceeds that of the Democrats (at least the Dems have a tacitly stated agenda). Leave the predilection toward caprice to individual free men and women and the autumn wind.

You get another applause.
